Lunenburg Jr. Basketball Association
2018-20189 Season

To all Coaches, Parents and Players,

Welcome to what we hope will be a fun and enjoyable season with Lunenburg Jr. Basketball. To all the new people, we hope you enjoy your first season with us and continue to be a part of our program in the future.

It has been a lot of work for the Board of Directors to bring what we feel will be a great experience for the youth of Lunenburg participating on the Basketball court. We are asking for your help with a few matters to avoid any problems during the season. Please do not drop of your child before their scheduled practice time. If your child arrives more than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time, they will be required to wait outside the building. Teams have scheduled time slots and when players arrive early they disrupt the other teams practice. Please pick up your child at the scheduled end of their practice, coaches are volunteering their time to coach and have commitments they need to honor. Please go into the gym to pick up your child. It is nice for a coach to see the parents and know that the child is picked up and not just outside somewhere waiting.

Players are permitted to bring a basketball to practice but we ask that they do not bring basketballs to games. Coaches will supply basketballs for game warm-up. We will be monitoring the games more closely and will not be permitting individuals to run on and off the courts and shoot around during these times. This is to allow the games to proceed on time and to avoid injuries. Your help with this is greatly appreciated. All players entering the gym with a basketball will be asked to return it to their vehicle or lose possession of it until they leave the gym.

We met with the School Department this summer and have formed some agreements that need to be adhered to. To avoid any problems we are asking that no food or drinks be brought into the gyms at any time. Players are allowed to have only water that are in sealed container with a screw on cap. Please discard empty containers in trash barrels. We also know that games start early and some of us need coffee to function, but due to spillage and containers being left behind for us to clean, we cannot allow this anymore. A trash barrel will be placed at the entrance of the gym for your use. Thank you for support and understanding with this matter.

If your child is injured and requires medical attention, please contact their coach and the division coordinator. We need to file the proper paperwork with the Town office. If you do not know who the division coordinator is, please visit our Website at Lunenburgjrbasketball.org. Also information about program is located here. If at any time you experience any problems, please feel free to contact us, most problems can be corrected if we are informed early enough.

Thank you and enjoy the season.
